Press Release

Press Release: Bohemia Interactive to demonstrate VBS2 at Interservice / Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) 2006

Australia - 20th November 2006

A PDF version of this release is available here.

Bohemia Interactive (BI) is pleased to announce that Virtual Battlespace 2 (VBS2) will be demonstrated at I/ITSEC 06, to be held at the Florida Convention Center in Orlando, from Monday 4th December to Thursday 7th December 2006. BI will be located at booth #2283 in Hall B, co-located with Calytrix Technologies.

We look forward to your visit to the BI/Calytrix booth, where BI will be exhibiting VBS2 and the VBS1 Loadmaster Virtual Reality Simulator (LVRS). VBS2 components on display will include the Real Time Mission Editor, VBS2 ADF, USMC and US Army representations and rapid terrain development functionality.

Bohemia Interactive is directly supporting a very exciting distributed simulation exercise throughout the conference, involving the Joint Combined Training Centre (booth #2277), the USMC (booth #1642) and Calytrix Technologies. Thanks to LVC Game by Calytrix, VBS will be connected via HLA to a range of simulations distributed around the exhibition hall, including JSAF and Steel Beasts. The VBS to Steel Beasts link-up is especially exciting as this combination offers both high-fidelity combined arms collective training (through VBS) and excellent armored vehicle simulation (through Steel Beasts), at a very affordable price.

VBS2 will also be on display at the Laser Shot booth (#121) where VBS2 is providing a high fidelity, dynamic 3D virtual environment as part of a simulated firing range, and also the NaturalPoint booth (#969) where Armed Assault, the computer game version of VBS2, will be exhibited with the latest Track IR technology.

Bohemia Interactive is proudly supporting North American, European and Australasian military organizations and we are certain that VBS2 will provide a very useful training and experimentation tool. We hope to see you in Orlando!
